So far so good

Only had it for a day. Bought it to replace an IPEVO Free-1. Use it for work, international business ocnsultant. Skype's my office phone, so it rings wherever I am. Been using the Philips dual line VOIP phones at home for six months (love them, work great). Now pay $12 per month to Verizon to keep home number (so I dont have to give out my mobile number to people). So far, this Philips product matches the quality of the others I have. By the way, from the Philips website, this is the "new" version of their USB phones (there are older versions on Amazon as well).
Does what it promises, but that's it...

Reviewer: Mallamace,
If you get this phone, you're not buying a fancy phone, but you are going to get a phone that works for cheap. The default amazon product image makes the phone look better than the actual product. All the buttons are very flat, at least on my version.

The quality is great, I've only had a view problems only because of my internet connection, not the phone. This phone does plug into the back of your computer. The cord is pretty long, but you might have to move your computer around if you're plugging it in from the back and your computer is on the ground.

One strange thing I didn't expect... 1) the phone rings very loud (I love it) & 2) the phone is extremely light. It feels less like a phone when your holding it, and more like a microphone/headset. Might as well buy a headset if you got a free audio/mic input in your computer and you don't need your telephone to ring on incoming calls.

If I didn't get this phone for such a good price, $5. Then I would have went for the $100-$150 cordless phones.
clear sound

sound is very crisp and clear, as much as any normal phone with maybe a little extra backround noise level. cd software did not load for me, but was pleasantly surprised that Philips has US based phone support that got me up and running.
Great Buy

It works great. No more problems to listen to your conversation and the best part you don't need to scream to the other party to be heard by you. I love it!
Works as described.

First of all you MUST download the latest drivers from the Philips website. After you installed it - it works like a charm.
Small, lightweight, nice design. Using on Windows XP Pro, SP3 and the latest Skype version.
